I graduated from Nottingham University (UK) in 1986 & inspired by a love of travel I came to work in New Zealand for a year. I liked the country so much I stayed! I also married a Kiwi!
I worked for 6 years in the Auckland hospitals, including several years as a Senior Registrar in General Medicine & Critical Care Medicine.
Disolusioned with the hospital system however, I decided to follow a career in General Practice. Over the last 10 years I have worked as a locum General Practitioner in the Howick, Pakuranga & Beachlands areas. Some of you may also recognise me from my work at Eastcare. For the last 4 years I have been practising at Botany Town Centre.
I like to be approachable, listening, compassionate & attentive, working for the best interests of my patients.
I believe communication is the key to providing good health care & encourage my patients to talk with me if they have any concerns.
I place great value in patients being able to access the practice. As a result I keep my patient list to a consistent number so that patients will always have an appointment at a reasonable time.
My interests include my family, BBQ's/cooking, sailing, photography, music, different cultures & helping out as a Western Springs Speedway doctor.
